A woman in her 70s was taken to hospital after her car crashed into the rear entrance gates of Richmond police station yesterday.
London Ambulance Service sent one ambulance crew and a hazardous area response team to the accident in St John’s Road, after being called at 10am on Wednesday morning.
The woman was taken to Kingston Hospital, complaining of back pain.
Firefighters from Twickenham also attended.
Watch manager Steven McGhie said: “A car was hit and went into the back entrance of the police station.
“No one was really injured but it must have had quite an impact as it knocked the gate, which is quite sturdy, off.”
