Revellers may not be flooding to Richmond tonight if these pictures of the riverside are anything to go by.

Continuous rainfall has meant water is overflowing the banks of the Thames and engulfed the popular night time spot.

Bars and pubs along the stretch remain open despite the wet weather.

The area outside the White Cross has been flooded every day since New Year’s Day but it has not deterred punters from visiting the drinking hole.

The pub’s deputy manager Alan Milesi said: “We are still open, you just cannot get in the door at the moment.

“It will be OK in about half an hour or so.

“We have had this every day during the day and night but we still get loads of people coming down.”

The Slug and Lettuce has a side entrance for customers to use while Revolution can be accessed from Whitakker Avenue.
