The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for land along the Thames between Hampton and Teddington, including Thames Ditton and Kingston.
It said the river is expected to “overtop its banks and flood low lying land” after a high tide just before 3pm today.
Flooding of properties was not expected, the Agency said last night.
Some flooding of low-lying land may have occurred after a high tide in the early hours of this morning.
