Talented dance performers from across Richmond took part in a one-night extravaganza at Richmond College.

Ignite is a collaborative effort coordinated by the college’s dance lecturer Alena Bennett on Wednesday, January 22.

She said: “This is now the second year that we’ve hosted Ignite and once again it has proven to be a great success.

“It’s wonderful that we can showcase all the talented dancers - young and old - that the local area has, and credit must go to every performer and choreographer involved in the tonight’s performances.”

Sophie Bradbury, 17, from Twickenham, is a first year BTec dance student at Richmond College and was one of more than 100 dancers taking part in the show.

She said: “The whole feel of tonight’s show was really nice as it celebrated dance throughout different levels and age groups.

“It was great to see so many different styles and techniques being performed and the feedback we had from the more experienced dancers was really encouraging.”
