The regeneration of Twickenham Riverside is starting to take shape as landscaping work reaches the halfway stage.
The next stage of the transformation is the planting of eight semi-mature pin oak trees, which is expected to be complete by the end of the week.
Richmond Council cabinet member for environment, Councillor Pamela Fleming, said: “This is an historic moment at Twickenham Riverside.
“For years this site remained derelict but has since become one of the jewels in the crown of this borough.
“The planting of these trees is part of the millions of pounds of investment the council is investing in this area - after consulting our residents.”
Improvements to the embankment include resurfacing, new street furniture, and improved lighting.
The expected completion date for the project is April.
