Police have warned the public not to approach a man who has been recalled to prison for breaching conditions of his licensed release.

Daniel Eastwood, 26, of Telford Road, Whitton, was in prison for burglary and released on licence on December 24, last year.

He has since been recalled to prison after breaching the conditions.

Eastwood was last seen by police on Sunday, January 19, as a passenger in a silver Ford Fiesta in Andover Road, Twickenham.

The vehicle drove off and Eastwood soon got out and ran off, chased by officers.

He got away and is believed to be around Twickenham or Hounslow and may also be frequenting the Butts Farm estate and Hollands estate in Feltham.

The Metropolitan Police helicopter searched for Eastwood on Sunday afternoon, assisting Richmond police and the British Transport Police.

The presence of the police helicopter circling over Twickenham caused a stir on Twitter.

Mark Goodrich tweeted: “Serious police action round #Twickenham station. Helicopter, vans and foot patrols!”

Ruth Arnold posted: “Anyone know what going on at Twickenham station? Police helicopter hovering for 20 minutes.”

Dunstan Bentley tweeted: “What’s going on in Twickenham? Policeman running towards near where I live and Police Chopper hovering overhead. Hmmm.”

Bryan Goddard posted: “Should we be concerned that the Police helicopter has been over our house for the last few minutes. Glad we put in a panic room!”

Police are appealing for information regarding his whereabouts, with people advised to contact them on 101 or to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

If a member of the public sees Eastwood they are advised to call 999 immediately.
