Motorists are being warned of diversions as Hammersmith Bridge undergoes urgent repairs tomorrow, January 13.

The southbound lane will be closed from 7am to 3pm, while the bridge will be fully closed from 8am on Saturdays to 5am on Mondays over the weekends of January 25 to 26 and February 1 to 2 and 8 to 9.

A diversion is in place via Fulham Palace Road and Putney Bridge for southbound traffic and northbound traffic will be diverted to Chiswick Bridge during the weekend closures.

Advance warning signs will be in place on both sides of the river this week and diversion signs will be up from January 13.

Busues will also be diverted and passengers are advised to check with Transport for London for more details.

All work is expected to be completed by February 28.
