More than 60,000 people will receive their new Richmond Card next week.

The card, which has been revamped by Richmond Council, offers parking discounts, library services, sports and leisure centre membership and offers with local shops, businesses and attractions.

Current holders of the Richmond Card, library or leisure cards will automatically be sent their new combined card from January 10.

Councillor Pamela Fleming, cabinet member for environment, said: “As a council we are always looking at ways to enhance services, improve access and promote local benefits.

“We know from resident feedback that there is a desire to expand the old Richmond Card to cover more services.

“This new card continues the popular 30-minute free parking for residents.

“It also automatically signs up cardholders to use their local library. It invites them to kick start the new year by joining their local sports and fitness centre.

“The card also helps support our local high streets.”

People without a card can sign up from January 13 at richmond.gov.uk/richmondcard.
