Drivers are being warned to avoid the A308 after it shut after an accident this afternoon.
The Upper Sunbury Road was closed in one direction at about 12.10pm and has now shut in both directions after a coach and van crashed at the junction with Kempton Road in Hampton.
Police said a dog that was travelling in the van suffered a broken leg.
A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman said one man was taken to hospital.
The air ambulance and firefighters were also called as a precaution.
Police said the road will remain shut until the debris is cleared.
People are being asked to use other routes and traffic is heavy.
