Very special Christmas at Hampton Court Palace
Step into the past this festive season and experience a historic Christmas at Hampton Court Palace.
From Yuletide feasts in the Tudor kitchens, to traditional carol singing in the atmospheric courtyards, there will be something for all the family to enjoy throughout December.
Visitors can transport themselves back to King Henry VIII’s Christmas in 1542 and head down to the historic kitchens to pick up some tips for Christmas dinner at live Tudor cookery demonstrations.
The palace has fed royalty for hundreds of years and the kitchens have been brought back to life, with cooks using real Tudor techniques, ingredients, and recipes to show guests how to create a feast fit for a King or Queen.
After whetting appetites in the kitchen, visitors can sing for their supper at an after-hours courtyard carol singing evening.
Pop on a scarf and wrap up warm to join the Epsom and Ewell silver band singing Christmas carols in the magical surroundings of the palace at night.
After all that festive fun, visitors can unwind and warm up in the Tiltyard Café, where mulled wine, mince pies or even a full Christmas dinner with all the trimmings will be on offer.
