Fast response: Police outside the George last night
A female police officer was allegedly assaulted during a disturbance at a Twickenham pub last night.
Police were called to the George, in King Street, at 11.38pm, where a man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly and assaulting a police officer.
The 32-year-old man from Teddington was taken to a south London police station.
The officer received minor injuries to her arm during the arrest.
