Waldegrave School has made it four in a row, after being ranked top school in the country without a sixth form – for the final time ever.
The Sunday Times Parent Power Survey is based on the percentage of GCSE passes at grades A* and A.
In 2013, the Twickenham school achieved 50 per cent of results at the required grades.
Headteacher Philippa Nunn said: “Outstanding attainment is only possible through excellent teaching and supreme hard work from all staff, students, parents and governors.
“We are delighted to be named the best 11-16 state school in the country again.
“We open a brand new sixth form in September 2014 and we are excited to have the opportunity to continue this high standard of education with our sixth form students.”
