Two people are in a serious condition after a woman was hit by a car yesterday.
Roads were closed in both directions on London Road, following the smash at 4.45pm on Monday, November 18.
A 24-year-old female, believed to be the pedestrian, was treated at the scene for head injuries before being taken to St George's Hospital in Tooting.
An 89-year-old man, believed to be the driver, was treated for facial injuries.
The aftermath of the accident, which happened near the Lidl Supermarket, was described by witnesses on Twitter.
@Larissa_Rosee said: "Ah man bad crash at mitcham lidl :( hate seeing that could of been me when I crashed mann god bless them people".
@abdee94 said "This car ran into the railings and flipped in Mitcham, completely messed the car up... Madness."
