Calling all Beatles fans - this fireworks display in Richmond is just for you
Fans of The Beatles can attend a themed fireworks display, which is sell-out every year, writes Amy Dyduch.
The Richmond family fireworks display, held at the athletic ground, will put on a display with fireworks set to iconic tracks from the Fab Four.
Prior to the display there will be live entertainment from boyband Class A, solo artists Josh James and Jake Sim as well as dance troupe Vital Signz.
Richmond Athletic Association’s office and events manager Carly Feore says: “We have a theme every year and this year it is The Beatles.
“We have different music to the fireworks every year.
“It is not just all the same and offers something a bit different.
“It is very popular - we have to send a few hundred people away at the door every year.”
Organisers expect 5,000 to 6,000 people will turn up to the sought after display.
After the fireworks, which will raise cash for the Poppy Factory, the Applecore Beatles will perform in the members’ bar which is open to all.
Other displays in the borough include the NPL Sports Club’s family fireworks evening on Saturday, October 26, where guests can enjoy a beer festival, BBQ and live music.
The Barnes bonfire night will take place on Saturday, November 2 at Barnes Sports Club, while the Shot Tower in Crane Park will host a lantern making workshop and parade on Sunday, November 3.
