Active activities for half term
Families are being encouraged to get active this half term to keep children busy.
Swimming, soft play, bouncy castles and sports and fitness sessions will be on offer across the borough during the school break from Monday, October 28, to Friday, November 1.
Richmond Council’s cabinet member for health and children’s services, Councillor Christine Percival, said: “There is a host of fun activities that will keep children and young people fit and healthy over the half term holiday.
“With so much going on there’s no need to get bored during the school break and I would urge as many children and young people as possible to get involved.”
Teddington Pools and Fitness Centre in Vicarage Road will run crash courses for people who want to learn to swim or develop their skills.
Courses are available for all ages and abilities, call 020 8977 9911.
Toddler fun sessions will take place at Orleans Park Sport Centre in Orleans Park School, Richmond Road, for children aged up to five.
They will include a bouncy castle, giant inflatable slide, small climbing frame and soft play shapes.
