Award-winning Hampton Wick pub opens tonight after refurb
An award-winning pub will reopen after a £250,000 refurbishment.
The Foresters, in Hampton Wick High Street, was shut for five weeks while it underwent a complete makeover and will open again for a funk soul party tonight.
The pub, which was crowned Surrey’s pub of the year, has been redecorated with new dark wooden furnishings, has extended its food options with new menus and has employed four new members of staff.
Leaseholder Thomas Furber has been running the pub for seven years.
He said: “The pub looks fantastic, it has been taken back to the original roots and traditional styling of a great British pub to harbour back to the good old days.
“The investment has allowed us to offer the community something different and a range of facilities to suit all in a warm and friendly pub environment.
“I look forward to welcoming customers old and new back to the pub.”
The pub has also expanded its drinks menu, featuring a cocktail, wine and beer of the month, and will also offer customers a loyalty card scheme and value set menus.
