Cheers for beers at Twickenham beer and cider festival
If you fancy a bitter fun this weekend, the 13th Twickenham beer and cider festival may well be your first port of call.
The event, organised by the Richmond and Hounslow branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (Camra), takes place at York House.
Having started yesterday, it will run for three days and features more than 70 real ales and more than 20 ciders and perries.
This year’s catchphrase on posters, programmes, glasses is 'PINTS - CAMRA - ACTION!' in recognition of Twickenham Film Studios centenary this year.
The festival began last night with the announcement of this year's pub of the year, with the Sussex Arms taking the much-coveted prize, just ahead of the Rifleman.
The festival is open from 11am until 10.30pm on Friday and Saturday, with entry £3, £2 on Friday afternoon, for non-members with concessions for Camra members.
Families are welcome until 6.30pm.
