Children from St James’s School Symphony Orchestra have given a rousing summer concert watched on by residents of the Orione Care Home in Hampton Wick.
Children as young as eight performed in St James’s school hall last Wednesday.
The concert included a mixture of ensemble and solo pieces sung by students from the Strawberry Hill Catholic Primary School.
The grand finale came from the cast of the sold-out production of the Rocky Monster Show to be staged by children from year 6.
Singing is strongly encouraged at St James’s with the school promoting a strong music curriculum.
St James’s School Symphony Orchestra also performs in the Discovery Series with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican.
