Children and their ponies dressed up in odd socks to raise awareness of Down’s syndrome.

Park Lane Stables, in Park Lane, Teddington, gave away cakes and balloons and taught children about the condition at the event held on world down syndrome day, Thursday, March 21.

Owner and manager of the stables Natalie O’Rourke said: “We were just trying to break it out into the open and get people to understand it. It got people thinking and talking about it.

“It was a really big success. We have a lot of children in the pony club with Down’s syndrome and special needs so it was showing that they can do everything they want to here at the stables.”
