Volunteers are raising money for nurses to care for terminally ill people in the final hours of their lives.
People across the borough have joined millions across the UK to collect for the Marie Curie Cancer Care Great Daffodil Appeal, which takes place in March every year.
Volunteers hosted a coffee morning for the cause in Hampton Hill library on Saturday, March 16.
Richard Sharp was collecting for the appeal this year and said in the late 19th century Hampton Hill was an important daffodil growing area.
One of the largest daffodil nurseries was Sherwood’s, located between Burtons Road, Seymour Road, St James’s Road and Park Road and grew special King Alfred daffodils.
