Brentford Football Club hold second stadium exhibition
Brentford Football Club’s ambition to develop a new home for the club near Kew Bridge will reach another milestone this month as plans go on show to the public for the second time.
The exhibition will provide people living nearby with the chance to find out how the work on the 20,000-capacity stadium on the Lionel Road site has developed in the past two months.
Brian Burgess, director of Lionel Road Developments Limited, said: “Our proposals have three main purposes - first to secure the long term sustainability of Brentford Football Club, second to provide a new home for the Brentford FC Community Sports Trust charity and its learning zone and thirdly to create impetus and assistance in the wider regeneration of this part of Brentford.
“Our second public consultation exhibition represents another milestone in the planning process and we welcome views on the developing vision for the site.”
Two exhibitions will take place at Brentford’s current stadium at the Braemar Road entrance of Griffin Park on March 21 from 5.30pm to 8.30pm and March 22 from 1pm to 5pm.
A third exhibition will be held on March 23 from 10am to 1pm in the sports hall of the Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre next to Kew Bridge station.
