Cyclist hospitalised after Castlenau accident

A cyclist was taken to hospital as a priority after a collision with a car in Castlenau yesterday.

The A306 Castlenau was partially blocked today due to the accident at Trinity Church Road, shortly before Hammersmith Bridge.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We sent an ambulance crew and a single responder in a car.

“Our staff treated a 35-year-old man for a head and shoulder injury and took the patient as a priority to Charing Cross Hospital.”

A police spokesman said: “At about 2pm there was a road traffic collision between a car and a cyclist.

“London Ambulance Service attended along with police as the cyclist has sustained injuries. The A306 was closed northbound.”

How fortunate for the patient that we currently have Charing Cross Hospital just across the river. In a few months time their journey and treatment may be rather different... Save Our Hospitals! http://www.saveourho
