Four children escape fire on Feltham and Hampton border

An adult and four children escaped a house fire without injury this afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the blaze in a home in Stourton Avenue, on the Feltham and Hampton border, at about 2.30pm today

A witness, who did not want to be named, said: “I thought a plane had come down to be honest. It was a massive noise.

“There were kids running around and people shouting. There’s no gas on the estate so it seems suspicious.”

London Ambulance Service sent an ambulance crew and a hazard area response team to the blaze and said staff checked over two patients but neither appeared to have any injuries.

No one was taken to hospital.

Firefighters are still at the scene but had extinguished the blaze by about 3.30pm.
