Richmond Council seeks sites for redevelopment
Potential sites for future development are being sought by the council.
Richmond Council is looking for areas where there may be an opportunity for redevelopment or a change of use, to meet increasing demand across the borough.
The sites will be allocated within the local development framework to provide future needs such as new housing, commercial space or as schools and community facilities.
Councillor Virginia Morris cabinet member for environment said: “The council is continuing to take a positive approach to the future of the borough.
“The identification of potential development sites is important to ensure we have up to date policies for the redevelopment of sites in the borough, both in terms of basic physical requirements such as maximum heights and in specifying the types of uses the council requires meeting local needs.
“The council is always concerned to fully take into account the views of local residents and businesses and there will be continued consultation on these projects.”
The consultation closes on Monday, January 28.
