On February 17, 1963, The Beatles made their first appearance at Teddington Studios in Broom Road, to perform their first UK number one - Please Please Me.
Now, 50 years later, a Hampton Beatles tribute will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the appearance on ABC Television's Thank Your Lucky Stars, the most influential TV pop programme in Britain before Top of the Pops.
They will perofrm at the Turk’s Head pub in St Margarets, made famous by The Beatles film A Hard Day’s Night.
The Beatles performed in various locations across Richmond during their career, including Twickenham Film Studios, where they recorded three films.
Dan Richards, who is John Lennon in the band, says: “We are all long life Beatles fans. We started out being more of a covers band, but people like to indentify who’s who in the band in stupid wigs and I have round glasses.”
