Hampton teenager charged with Walton burglary

An 18-year-old has been charged with burglary and vehicle taking following a burglary at a property in Walton earlier this month.

Shane Warburton, of Fulmer Close, Hampton, was also charged with driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

The charges related to a burglary in Sidney Road, Walton, and a police pursuit that ended in Hampton Court Road on Saturday, January 5.

Mr Warburton, who was arrested on Thursday, January 10, appeared at East Surrey Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, January 15, where he was released on bail.

He will appear at Guildford Crown Court on Thursday, January 31.

Two other men were arrested on the day of the offence.

One of the men has been released with no further action taken, and the other man remains on police bail until Wednesday, February 13.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to either the burglary or the incident in Hampton Court Road. Call Surrey Police on 101, quoting EL/13/118.
