Make the most of the hazy sunshine as snow is on the way.

Today will remain misty across south east London and Surrey with highs of around 4°C and some light rain expected in places.

Overnight, increasing easterly breezes will see the start of the cold snap.

Saturday starts out overcast and will remain so throughout the day. Light rain in the morning will turn to sleet by the afternoon and light snow is predicted by evening. Temperatures are expected to drop to 0°C overnight although strengthening winds could make it feel much colder.

On Sunday, temperatures will struggle to lift above freezing with more sleet and snow predicted for the morning.

It’s a similar outlook for Monday so expect grey skies and more the white stuff falling across some areas.

It is expected to brighten up from Monday afternoon onwards with sunny spells on the cards, however, more snow is forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Care should be taken on the roads due to the risk of icy patches on untreated surfaces and check before you travel for any disruption to public transport.
