Loving tributes have been paid to a man who died in Teddington on Sunday morning.

The 20-year-old died after collapsing in Field Lane and being taken to hospital at 12.30am on Sunday, November 11.

He has been named locally as St Mary’s University College student Patrick Lawless, from Twickenham.

The university’s weight-lifting club, St Mary’s Strength, posted on Twitter: “Very sad news about Pat Lawless, he was contemplating joining the club last week, a reminder that life is fragile and we are not invincible.”

His friends of also took to the social networking site to pay tribute to the 20-year-old, affectionately known as Pat and Paddy.

Hannah Dean wrote: “Completely lost for words, still so shocked. RIP PatFlawless11 love and miss you, forever in our hearts xxxxxxxxx”

Police launched a murder investigation on Monday after the 20-year-old died.

Four men have been arrested in connection with the incident. A 20-year-old on suspicion of murder and three other men, also in their early 20s, on suspicion of assault.
