Police are appealing for witnesses after two assaults in Teddington over the weekend.

Officers were called to reports of an assault in the High Street, near the Royal Oak pub, at 9.50pm on Saturday, November 10.

They said a large group of people were involved in a fight and two men were taken to hospital.

One man was in a serious but stable condition and the other was discharged from hospital on Sunday, November 11.

A few hours after the first assault police were called to reports of a man collapsed in nearby Field Lane, Teddington, at 12.30am on Sunday, November 11.

A 20-year-old man was taken to hospital, where he was in critical condition.

Police said two men were arrested in relation to the second incident.

Police officers were in Teddington on Sunday, November 11, and cordoned off the Royal Oak pub, which was due to remain closed until today.

Part of Field Lane is still cordoned off.

Police said the incidents were related and investigations ongoing.
