A man is in a serious condition in hospital after a fight in Teddington last night.

Police were called to reports of an assault in the High Street, near the Royal Oak pub, at 9.50pm on Saturday.

They said a large group of people were involved in a fight and two men were taken to hospital.

One man was in a serious but stable condition and the other was discharged from hospital today.

Police said no arrests had been made.

Police officers were in Teddington today and cordoned off the Royal Oak pub, which was due to remain closed until Monday.
