A FOOTBALL fan decided to abandon his club's colours - and the rest of his clothes - to streak across the pitch during Saturday's match.
The 24-year-old, naked except for a short coat, proudly displayed himself to jeering fans by running across Griffin Park's pitch during the first hour of The Bees clash against Carlisle United.
But according to Carlisle's fans the young man, who has not been named by police, seemed to be suffering as a result of January's chilly weather.
Police confirmed today the streaker was handed a 12 month ban from Brentford Football Club and also received an £80 fine.
While some people were amused by the man's barefaced cheek a spokesman for Brentford condemned the streaker as being foolhardy.
He said: "We certainly don't treat this kind of thing as a joke. It's foolhardy and all it does is cause disruption to play."
