There’s more than just a day at the races when Sandown Park hosts its only Sunday jump fixture of the year on November 8.
Countryside Day at the Surrey racecourse includes National Hunt racing and complimentary ‘country pursuit’ activities such as falconry, pony rides and a petting farm.
Welsh sheepdog expert Meirion Owen will show off the talents of his Border Collies as they round up his pack of ducks, while Howard Kirby will demonstrate with his gun dogs.
Gates open at 10.45am with the first race at 12.45pm and entry costs £16.20 adults in advance or £18 on the day. Kids go free. Call 0844 5793012 or go to sandown.co.uk
