A rising pop star is within touching distance of winning a national music contest after being shortlisted from thousands of entrants.
Malory Torr, 17, has reached the final 50 of the Big Audition competition, in which wannabe music artists have to perform at Pizza Express restaurants and win the most votes from customers.
The Wimbledon student, who also plays cricket for Surrey Ladies, will spend a day singing with jazz singer Jamie Cullum if she makes it to the final 10 for the £5,000 first prize.
