Magical fete for St Raphael's Hospice in North Cheam
1:20pm Thursday 14th June 2012 in Leisure By Sophia Sleigh, Reporter
Mayors and magic are the order of the day for St Raphael’s summer fete.
Sutton magician, Theo, will perform his brand of magic and Sutton's Mayor and Mayoress, Councillor Sean Brennan and Gill Brennan, will open the event at the hospice in North Cheam.
There will be plenty of entertainment and stalls selling everything from home-made cakes to bric-a-brac.
Fulham Football Club will host a Beat the Goalie Game with its mascot Billy The Badger.
There will also be an appearance of some drayhorses and a vintage car display.
Refreshments will also be available including a barbecue and a Pimms stall.
Local radio station Radio Jackie will hold a roadshow throughout the event.
Susannah Forland, events organiser at St Raphael’s Hospice, says: "Bring your friends and family – it’s going to be a fun event with lots of activities to choose from. I’d like to thank Eric Nicholls and the MG Owners Club in Epsom for all their help in staging this event.
"Eric has helped to co-ordinate the entire event for me and 30 of his members are helping to put on the event, as well as staffing stalls and the barbecue. We want to raise as much money as we can so please come along."
The fete aims to raise much needed funds for the Hospice.
