A pioneering gospel choir will be appearing in Epsom to entertain crowds with their unique brand of singing soul.
The London Community Gospel Choir were formed in 1982 by Reverend Bazil Meade, with the help of Lawrence Johnson, Delroy Powell and John Francis, made history as the first ever concert gospel choir in Britain.
Known for their ‘funky gospel flair’, swings beats and soulful arrangements, the LGCC will be performing gospel classics such as Amazing Grace, Oh Happy Day, Hallelujah and songs from the big screen and West End hit show, Sister Act.
Ahead of their upcoming concert, the choir have promised crowds a concert ‘full of songs and spirit that will soothe the mind, uplift the soul and cheer the heart’.
The LGCC will be performing at the Epsom Playhouse on Thursday, February 9, at 8pm.
