A new musical which celebrates the best of the Broadway and West End is set to appear at the Epsom Playhouse later this month.
Back to Broadway was written and co-produced by 26-year-old Gina Price who also performs in the production, fulfilling a lifelong dream to pen a musical. It tells the story of a small town girl’s dream to become a Broadway star, mirroring it’s writer's own experiences.
Miss Price started singing professionally at the age of 16 and went on to graduate from The London College of Music and Birmingham School of Acting before landing the principal role in the touring production of Jekyll and Hyde.
Described as ‘the musical of musicals’, Back to Broadway features singers and dancers from the Welsh National Opera, The Twelve Tenors, Beyond the Barricade and the West End.
Expect renditions of songs from some of the world’s favourite musicals, including Fame, Chicago, Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia, West Side Story, Dirty Dancing and many more.
