On court, the players are alright in all white but in the stands looking great at Wimbledon is a little trickier.

Taking a cue from Hollywood celebs and royals, stylist Naomi Isted has the guide for the key trends to be seen in at the All England Club.

And Naomi also shares some looks you definitely don’t want to be seen in.

Trends to look out for this summer include ruffles, floral print and summer pastels. Among Naomi’s recommendations are a chic fitted pasted dresses teamed with a nude clutch and court shoe and oversized sunglasses, and a floral print with ruffles and a dainty clutch.

She said: “A key trend this year is ruffles but ruffles do not need to be over the top.”

For men, Naomi tips blue as the colour to be seen in and recommends teaming a tailored light blue suit with an on-trend grandad shirt.

If you’re lucky enough to be in the Royal Box, it’s simple: dress smart. For men, that means a suit/jacket and tie and for ladies it means smart but no hat, because they could obscure the view of the people behind.

FAULT

And these are what you do not what to be seen in if you’re planning to rub shoulders with the glitterati at Wimbledon this year.

Ladies: shorts, torn or ripped clothes, camouflage colours, beach wear, flip flops, crop tops or anything baring the midriff.

Gents: shorts, shirts without a collar, t-shirts or singlets, ripped or torn clothes, tracksuits, camouflage colours, beach wear, flip flops.
