Fresh from Parklife, Glastonbury and most recently Latitude Festival, Roni Size Reprazent brings its drum and bass collective to Clapham Common this August bank holiday weekend.

The seven piece band comprising of Roni Size, Dynamite MC, Onallee, Si John, D Product, Jay Wilcox and Yuval Gabay will perform at the South West Four (SW4) Weekender held on August 29 & 30.

Speaking about the gig, producer and DJ Roni Size, who is also the founder and leader of Reprazent, said he couldn't wait to get on the stage.

He says: “Coming to SW4 is going to be great as we will be on the drum and bass stage, so the crowd will be fans of the genre and will just get it.”

The group first came to fame in the 90s, winning the Mercury Prize for their album New Forms in 1997 and have just come back from their tour, where they played Exit Festival in Serbia and also performed in Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Germany and Belgium.

Size says: “Doing all the festivals is great because you can really get out there, meet the audience one on one and build a connection with the people who love the music.”

“You can’t download a live performance, you know, and the buzz you get from it is like nothing else. It’s great being out there, playing the music and being in great company.”

Also playing at SW4 this bank holiday are Skrillex, Bassment Jaxx, Martin Garrix, Eric Prydz, Sigma, Sub Focus, Shift K3y and Fat Boy Slim. Roni Size Reprazent will be performing at the RAM Arena on the Sunday of SW4.

As Size assures us “the audience can expect some bangers and some fireworks.

He plans to mix up his set with old tracks and songs from the new album, For the Masses.
