One of the most charismatic frontmen on the music scene brings his band to Richmond’s Crawdaddy Club.
Birdwood, led by Ali McKenzie, came together little over two years ago and gained their name from two members' previous bands; The Birds and The Artwoods.
The five-piece comprises of McKenzie on vocals, Derek Griffiths on guitar, Keith Grant on bass, Mark Freeman on drummers and Chris Parren playing keyboard.
The band have an extensive back catalogue of experience in the music industry, with McKenzie previously fronting Ronnie Wood's first band while Griffiths was lead guitarist in Art Wood's band.
Birdwood made their debut performance at the Crawdaddy Club in October last year and McKenzie said the band perform for the enjoyment of being on stage.
