Ever secretly wondered what Morris Men are all about?
Find out tomorrow night at an event in Epsom where you can watch them dance and learn about the history of their folk tradition.
Alan Greenwood and the Ewell St Mary’s Morris Men are giving a talk and demonstrations at Epsom Playhouse.
Epsom and Ewell Literary Society is presenting the talk called the Heritage, Music, Songs and Dances of Morris Men.
The society said: "First mention of Morris dance was in 1448 and records the payment of seven shillings to Morris dancers by the Goldsmiths' Company.
"By the mid 17th century it had become a folk dance performed in the parishes - an English tradition.
"All will be explained by Alan Greenwood as we watch one of the most enthusiastic and energetic Morris sides strut their stuff."
Tickets, priced £10, will be available at the society's membership table on the evening.
Epsom Playhouse, Ashley Avenue, Epsom; Wednesday, November 5; 7.45pm
