A high priest will reveal the rituals of ancient Egypt at a museum kids’ club.

Children are invited to follow the priest as he undertakes the rites which made sure a pharaoh had a safe journey to the afterlife.

He will explain why pyramids were so important to Egyptian royalty and describe how the huge structures were designed and built.

Ten days later, the museum club members will learn about how prehistoric men crawled into dark caves to paint pictures.

The children will also get the chance to create their own cave paintings by flickering light.
