American jazz singer Salena Jones brings her latest show to London’s longest-running jazz venue.

A direct descendant of Indian Sioux warrior Crazy Horse, Joan Shaw, as she was born, began her career at Manhattan’s Harlem Apollo and won the amateur night singing September Song.

Based in New York with her own blues extra orchestra, Jones has toured widely across the US and has sung with an array of great jazz names.

In the past five decades, Jones has been a central figure on the British jazz scene and has played throughout Europe.

Whether singing jazz standards, blues or contemporary songs, Jones’ perfect pitch, natural swing and interpretations of stylish songs have been acclaimed by critics.

Critics also describe her performances as elegant and panache, making her shows a very special experience.

Jones will sing with her quintet, including the new addition of Will Bartlett, Jules Jackson, Patrick Davey, Martin Shaw and Richard Shepherd.
