The Putney Arts Theatre is combining a mixture of exclusive new material from some of the biggest and brightest names in the business, to present a night of amusing mayhem in Always Be Comedy.

James Gill, who co-founded Always Be Comedy with friend Stuart Keeping, said: "It’s a game-show format, I play increasingly odd games with the audience and Stu does the tech.

"We’re always trying to do something different. We recently played a real-life version of operation. And because comedians enjoy playing there, it helps massively."

Playing on the final Sunday of the month, visitors can expect to see the likes of Sara Pascoe, Russell Kane, Danny Bhoy and Phil Nichol this summer as well as being offered the promise of mystery guests.

Alongside performances in Putney, the Always be Comedy band wagon rolls through the Tommyfield Pub in Kennington, and The Prince of Wales Nightclub in Brixton over the summer.

MC Gill said: "The numbers in Putney tend to be good. At our May show we actually had to turn people away. So it’s always a good idea to book a ticket."
