We are but hours away from World Cup 2014 kicking off in Brazil, as the home nation takes on Croatia in the tournament's first game.

Hugely popular Victorian public house close to the entrance to Richmond Park, The Albert will be offering a special football-themed food menu during England's game against Italy on Saturday.

The Emerald Isle sadly didn't qualify for Brazil, but you can still expect a carnival vibe at this Irish-themed town centre pub.

Surbiton

Right in the middle of town, the Victoria boasts several large screens and plasma TVs indoors, while football fans can also enjoy some of the afternoon kick offs in the large beer garden.

For England's first game against Italy on Saturday, which kicks off at 11pm, the pub will be serving hot dogs throughout the night.

Re-opening following an extensive refurbishment in time for the World Cup, the Prince of Wales, formerly the New Prince, will be screening all the action from Brazil.

Family-friendly, recently refurbished, with large beer garden and good quality food, The Grove is offering table packages for fans eager to guarantee a seat to watch the action.

An oft-overlooked gem of a pub, the Waggon & Horses will be screening all the big games while serving up quality food and drink throughout the tournament.

New Malden

Richmond and Twickenham Times:

In the heart of New Malden up to 1,000 South Koreans are expected to enjoy their nation’s first World Cup fixture with a pint at the Fountain pub.

The pub will be showing all the Korean Republic football games starting from Tuesday, June 17, at 11pm when they take on Russia in their first Group H encounter, as well as England.

To watch England’s fortunes unfold pop into the Royal Oak.
