An illustrated talk about the role the Crystal Palace played during wartime has been put together to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War.

Entitled The Crystal Palace at War it highlights the building’s importance during the 1914 to 1918 war.

It also covers all the wars the Palace was connected with from the Crimean and Boer War up to the Second World War, despite the destruction of the Palace by fire in 1936.

The one hour presentation by the Crystal Palace Museum speakers is available to social clubs, societies, groups, libraries, rotary clubs at their venues.
