An Emmerdale vixen will be stepping into the shoes of the Wicked Queen for a traditional Christmas panto.

Nicole Faraday, who played Veronica in the ITV soap, first shot to fame as Snowball Merriman in the channel’s hit show Bad Girls.

She has just finished filming the role of Dawn in the British thriller movie, Top Dog, directed by former Spandau Ballet member and soap star Martin Kemp, which is due to be released in May 2014.

And she is no stranger to bringing a wicked presence to pantomime.  Faraday has toured the country showcasing her vocals in Thank You for the Music, A Street Car Named Desire, Marilyn the Musical and West End Girls.

She also played to packed houses and nightly standing ovations in Over the Rainbow, the touring musical about Eva Cassidy.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will also star ex-Hollyoaks and Eastenders star Stefan Booth as the prince and rising star Abigail Welford as the beautiful Snow White.

The Harlequin Theatre says: "Colourful costumes, creative choreography, scenery straight from an enchanting fairytale and a fast-paced storyline will ensure this year’s production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a truly wicked pantomime."
