Toy fair at Sandown Park, Esher, for the big kid in all of us
“Mr Star Wars” himself will make a toy fair a must-visit for any toy fan.
Whether you are young at heart, enjoy being a child every now and then or are serious about collecting memorabilia, the Toy Fair at Sandown Park has something for everyone.
More than 500 tables of toys and models will fill the exhibition centre with visitors expected to hail from across the UK and Europe to get their hands on a piece of the action.
Collectors of model cars, buses and aeroplanes will be spoilt for choice, with die cast models from Dinky and Corgi on offer from dealers including the Matchbox Forum, Peregrine Models and J.M. Toys.
For those who prefer sci-fi film and TV related toys, Star Wars, James Bond and Doctor Who collectables will feature heavily at the fair, with Jim “Mr Star Wars” Stevenson bringing along a large stock of memorabilia.
Among the thousands of items which will be on sale will be the well loved and more traditional teddy bears, farm toys, jigsaws, games and books. Familiar brands Action Man, Thunderbirds, Scalextric and Bayko will also feature and the fair.
If you are looking to buy or sell toys or trains at auction, then the Sandown toy fair is a great place to start, with a number of stands showcasing a selection of models to be sold in future specialist auctions.
