Travel back and discover Bronze Age Ewell
Fancy travelling back 3,000 years and discovering what life was like in Bronze Age Ewell?
If so, Bourne Hall Museum’s Kids Clubs could be just the ticket at the end of the month.
In the first afternoon session, discover the brutal side of Bronze Age life, meet a warrior from the village and discover what arms and armour he used. Learn how he would hunt for food and how he would have to make his own flint tools for everyday use. Witness the rituals that would have been held by the side of the sacred lake at Bourne Hall and discover the power of the spirit world over daily life.
In the second session, enter the roundhouse and discover the routines of daily life. Decide if you would enjoy the food and if your teeth could cope, and see the skills that the women had to master to spin wool and weave cloth. Learn about the crafts that were used in daily life and for luxuries such as jewellery.
