Antique hunters and fine art lovers can purchase some unique pieces which take their fancy at a weekend-long fair.

Among the many items on sale at the fair, Russian and oriental textiles and carpets, jewellery, art deco pieces and period furniture will be taking pride of place and the ideal buy for interior decorators and collectors.

A range of illustrations, contemporary and traditional sculpture and paintings and objet d’art for the discerning collector and those seeking the finer things in live will also be on sale, with prices from as little as £50, up to the more expensive five-figure sums.

Some of the more unusual items found at the event, which is in its sixth year, are pieces of outer spaces which have come from Fallenstars meteorites.

The pieces, which fell 4,000 years ago, were found as far afield as Argentina and Russia and make up interesting sculptures.

Popular paintings from artists from the south-east are also expected to sell for high prices.

One of the most notable works is The Footpath by the Waterlane, painted by Victorian artist Myles Birket Foster, who lived in Weybridge until his death in 1899. The painting will sell for £65,000.

Not only can art and antique lovers enjoy adding to their collection, their contributions to the fair will also go towards supporting two charities.

The Art Fund, which helps museums and galleries buy art for everyone to enjoy, and the Poppy Factory in Richmond, who work to help wounded, injured and sick ex-service men and women, will benefit from their fair.
