Boundaries to blur between storyteller and audience in London Stories at Battersea Arts Centre
London Stories: a 1-on-1-on 1 Festival is your opportunity to meet the Londoners you rush past on the street, queue with in the supermarket and sit with side-by-side on the tube.
The Battersea Arts Centre presents evenings of intimate encounters, where individuals of all backgrounds, ages and walks of life will tell their own stories of life in London.
Each real life tale, whether moving, bizarre or comical, will be told by one member of the public to an audience of just two, somewhere in a warren of candle-lit rooms.
You will share every experience 1- on- 1- on 1 with the storyteller and an audience member you may never have met before, exploring the boundaries between audience and performer and blurring the lines between real life and theatre.
London Stories: a 1- on- 1-on 1 Festival; Battersea Arts Centre, Lavender Hill, Wandsworth; September 16-28, 7pm & 8.45 pm; prices vary; bac.org.uk, 0207 223 2223.
